What is Wrecklanders?
Wrecklanders is a free idle survival game for your browser. Your plane went down over an island that isn’t on any map. You wake up on the beach with a handful of survivors, a broken fuselage and not much else.
So you start small: send people out to look around, open the bags they bring back and turn the crash site into a village, one era at a time. The camp keeps working while you’re away, and when you come back, a short note tells you what happened.
And at night, something glows green up in the mountain. Nobody on the island knows what Station 4 is. Not yet.
How to play
Send out your crew
Pick someone from your crew and a place: the beach first, later the wreck, the jungle and beyond. Each trip costs a few supplies and comes back with a bag.
Open the bags
Inside: supplies, materials, tools, sometimes another survivor or a keepsake from the passengers. Some finds are rare, a few are legendary.
Build the village
Rain Catcher, Driftwood Net, Kitchen, Sawmill: every building produces on its own, and at certain levels its output doubles.
Follow the green light
Collect the passengers’ mementos to open Station 4. When the rescue ship finally comes, you start again on a new island, with a bonus and a few heirlooms.
Play on your phone
Version 1.0 brings Wrecklanders to Android. Connect your phone and PC with a device code to keep the same island. The web game stays free and ad-free. The Android app offers optional videos, up to 10 a day, never required. For ages 13 and up.

While you’re away, your buildings keep producing for up to 6 hours, later up to 12 hours with Storehouse upgrades. In the Android app, an optional video catches up up to 4 extra hours once a day (at most 16 hours in total), so your camp has a useful haul waiting when you return. It runs on phone and PC, in English and German, for ages 13 and up.
Questions and answers
Does it cost anything?
No. Wrecklanders is free to play. There are no purchases and nothing you can pay for to get ahead. It is made by one developer in Germany.
Do I need an account?
No. Press Play and you’re on the island. So that your island is backed up, the game quietly creates a private save account: a random ID, no name, no email address, no password.
Does the island keep going when I’m away?
Yes. While the game is closed, buildings keep producing and expeditions on Repeat keep running: up to 6 hours at first, up to 12 hours with Storehouse upgrades. In the Android app, an optional video can catch up up to 4 extra hours once a day (at most 16 hours in total). When you come back, you see what came in.
Can I install it as an app on iPhone or Android?
Yes. Version 1.0 includes an Android app for Google Play. You can also install the web game without an app store. On iPhone: open wrecklanders.com in Safari, tap Share and choose “Add to Home Screen”. On Android: open the menu in Chrome and choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”. After a while the game also offers this itself.
What happens to my data?
Your island is saved in your browser and backed up on a server in Frankfurt, Germany (Supabase). The web game has no ads, no third-party ad trackers and no tracking cookies. The Android app uses AdMob for optional videos; the privacy policy explains consent and data use. Detailed game statistics are only collected if you say yes, and you can switch them off at any time. Without asking, only what the game needs to run, error reports and a few anonymous counts (for example how many visitors press Play) are recorded. In the game, Settings (gear icon) → Save & devices → “Delete all my data” deletes everything. Details are in the privacy policy.
How do I play the same island on phone and PC?
With a device code. On the device you have been playing on, open Settings (gear icon) → Save & devices → “Continue on another device” and show a code; it is valid for a few minutes. On the other device, tap “Already played on another device?” below the Play button and enter the code. After that, both devices play the same island.
Are there ads?
The web game is free and has no ads. The Android app offers optional videos for clearly labelled bonuses, up to 10 a day. Videos are never required: without them you play the whole game at normal speed. There are no banners, no forced ads and no purchases in version 1.0.
Who makes the game?
Simon Streblow, a solo developer from Germany, as a hobby project. Code, texts and pictures were made with a lot of help from AI tools, then picked, tested and tuned by hand. No AI runs inside the game itself.
Was ist Wrecklanders?
Wrecklanders ist ein kostenloses Idle-Aufbauspiel für den Browser. Dein Flugzeug ist über einer Insel abgestürzt, die auf keiner Karte steht. Du wachst am Strand auf, mit ein paar Überlebenden, einem zerbrochenen Rumpf und sonst nicht viel.

Und nachts leuchtet oben im Berg etwas grün. Niemand auf der Insel weiß, was Station 4 ist. Noch nicht.
So spielst du
Schick deine Crew los
Wähle jemanden aus deiner Crew und einen Ort: zuerst den Strand, später das Wrack, den Dschungel und weiter. Jede Tour kostet etwas Vorrat und bringt einen Beutel zurück.
Öffne die Beutel
Darin: Vorräte, Material, Werkzeug, manchmal ein neuer Überlebender oder ein Andenken der Passagiere. Manche Funde sind selten, ein paar legendär.
Bau das Dorf
Regenfänger, Treibgutnetz, Küche, Sägewerk: Jedes Gebäude produziert von selbst, und auf bestimmten Stufen verdoppelt sich sein Ertrag.
Folge dem grünen Licht
Sammle die Andenken der Passagiere, um Station 4 zu öffnen. Wenn endlich das Rettungsschiff kommt, beginnst du auf einer neuen Insel, mit Bonus und ein paar Erbstücken.

Kostet das Spiel etwas?
Nein. Wrecklanders ist kostenlos. Es gibt keine Käufe und nichts, womit man sich mit Geld einen Vorteil holt. Es wird von einem einzelnen Entwickler aus Deutschland gemacht.
Brauche ich ein Konto?
Nein. Du drückst auf Spielen und bist auf der Insel. Damit deine Insel gesichert ist, legt das Spiel im Hintergrund ein privates Spielstand-Konto an: eine zufällige Kennung, kein Name, keine E-Mail-Adresse, kein Passwort.
Läuft die Insel weiter, wenn ich weg bin?
Ja. Solange das Spiel geschlossen ist, produzieren die Gebäude weiter und Expeditionen in Dauerschleife laufen weiter: anfangs bis zu 6 Stunden, mit Lagerhaus-Ausbau bis zu 12 Stunden. In der Android-App holt ein freiwilliges Video einmal am Tag bis zu 4 weitere Stunden nach (insgesamt höchstens 16 Stunden). Wenn du zurückkommst, siehst du, was reingekommen ist.

Deine Insel wird in deinem Browser gespeichert und auf einem Server in Frankfurt am Main gesichert (Supabase). Wie spiele ich auf Handy und PC mit derselben Insel?
Mit einem Gerätecode. Auf dem Gerät, auf dem du schon spielst, öffnest du Einstellungen (Zahnrad) → Spielstand & Geräte → „Auf anderem Gerät weiterspielen“ und lässt dir einen Code zeigen; er gilt ein paar Minuten. Auf dem anderen Gerät tippst du unter dem Spielen-Knopf auf „Schon auf einem anderen Gerät gespielt?“ und gibst ihn ein. Danach spielen beide Geräte dieselbe Insel.
Gibt es Werbung?
Das Web-Spiel ist kostenlos und ohne Werbung. Die Android-App bietet freiwillige Videos für klar benannte Boni, bis zu 10 am Tag. Videos sind nie Pflicht: Ohne sie spielst du das ganze Spiel mit normalem Tempo. Es gibt keine Banner, keine erzwungene Werbung und keine Käufe in Version 1.0.
Wer macht das Spiel?
Simon Streblow, ein einzelner Entwickler aus Deutschland, als Hobbyprojekt. Code, Texte und Bilder sind mit viel Hilfe von KI-Werkzeugen entstanden und wurden danach von Hand ausgewählt, getestet und abgestimmt. Im Spiel selbst läuft keine KI.
